I made starbucks pumpkin loaves yesterday, but they came out nah. I made one with cream cheese filling and it was nice, but I won't make them again. I used the rest of the pumpkin puree for a pumpkin pie chia seed pudding for today's breakfast, and it was nice and nutritious. Also for breakfast, I made B a small bowl of cherry tomatoes, cottage cheese, and the homemade labneh I made the other day, sprinkled with olive oil and salt and pepper, it was excellent!
For dinner last night, pasta with my now favorite tomato basil and heavy cream sauce. It smells just like my mom's lasagna. The other day I had the craziest craving for Olive Garden's salad, so we went to the store and got an iceberg salad mix (didn't feel like cutting lettuce, and they also didn't have it) and some veggies. At home, I made a copycat recipe of Olive Garden's dressing, added some cherry tomatoes and cucumbers, and devoured an entire bowl of it! It was so good and satisfying to get exactly what I wanted. I'll make that dressing again and put it in the fridge.
Today we went to a farm to pick up apples, it was nice and sunny, and the apples were really good. B said he's going to make a pie out of them, but I doubt it haha. I want to make taro buns tonight.
I finished reading In Defense of Food and it was such a good read, I think I highlighted 80% of the book! Very eye-opening. I am now reading Zero, and it's great so far.
Yesterday I went to the silks class and now I'm terribly sore everywhere, but at least I finally did it and it was fun.
